This is a nice little list of the new things that Tuesday is doing. Updated sporadically.

  • September 1, 2001- We were driving to Maryland to attend a family party and we had a cooler full of wine bottles. As we were driving along there was much clanking and clunking of the wine bottles. Tuesday asked, "Is this a car ride or an earthquake?"
  • August 23, 2001- Tuesday's favorite color is still red. She calls her doll Repito, instead of Pepito. She loves Clifford, Dragon Tales and Dora the Explorer. She loves Ariel, Cinderella and Pocahontas. She loves her music boxes and wearing dresses.
  • August 1, 2001- Christopher was away for a week for a business trip. When he got back Tuesday said, "Dad while you were away, I wasn't homesick, I was Daddy sick!"
  • July 24, 2001- According to Tuesday's traditions, she has to weigh herself before she can go to the bathroom at her Grandmother's house. One day, she said, "Mom, can I weigh my pounds?" Afterwards, she came bounding out of the bedroom and declared, " I'm 35 - 6 pounds!"
  • June 28, 2001- The other day Tuesday said she had to go to the bathroom. After quite awhile, she hadn't come out of the bathroom, so I asked her if she was okay. I went into the bathroom and she was very upset and said, "Mom I could only poop one poop and I can't poop another poop and I'm afraid it will be lonely." She was quite upset about the situation. After a few silent moments, she said, "I know, I can flush it and then it will be with all the other poops!" She was very proud of herself and happily flushed it away.
  • June 21, 2001- As we were driving in the car, having a stressful day, Tuesday said to me, "Mom, we should be quiet and just look out the window and think of daddy and look at the pretty flowers and houses."
  • May 9, 2001- While driving in the car, Tuesday was complaining about everything. I explained to her that it wasn't nice to complain about so many things. She thought for a moment and then replied, "Mom, I wasn't complaining, I was whining!"
  • April 23, 2001- Today at dinner Tuesday told us all about where she came from. She said before she lived with us she lived in a little house all by herself. She said she became sick and our neighbors, Debby and Elizabeth, came and brought her to the hospital. She said she was in the hospital with all the other sick babies. And that Quinn was there. Then we, mommy and daddy, came to the hospital and picked her out from all the other sick babies and took her home to live.
  • April 20, 2001- Today Tuesday came up to me and very seriously told me that she had done something bad. When I asked her what she had done she said, "I called Nicholas a piece of broccoli." I told her that that wasn't bad and she said, "Yes, it is. It made Nicholas upset. He said it was a bad word."
  • April 16, 2001- Today we went out to lunch with Denny and Brian. In the middle of lunch Tuesday asked Brian, "Are you naked under your T-shirt?"
  • April 9, 2001- Today said, "I am a very nice girl Mommy, I don't say things like butthead."
  • February 15, 2001- After Tuesday goes to the bathroom, as she flushes the toilet, she says, "Goodbye everything. I love you, and I never wanna see you again" to everything in the toilet.
  • January 25, 2001- I took Tuesday and Quinn to the library and Quinn started to get a bit cranky, so I let him out of the stroller. He immediately started to go towards another mother and her little son. Tuesday instantly began calling him back and he actually came back when called. Tuesday then said, "Quinn, you're my little brother, not theirs!"
  • Christmas 2000- Tuesday has been obsessed with the baby Jesus this Christmas. All her toys must go visit the baby Jesus. She put a set of Star Wars legos together with Christopher and afterwards, Chewbacca had to go visit the baby Jesus.
    As I was putting all the ornaments and decorations away Tuesday said, "Will I ever see the baby Jesus again?"
  • January 7th, 2001- Tuesday was running around in circles, so Elizabeth told her not to. She kept running around, and when we told her not to, she said "I'm not running around in circles, I'm running around in squares"
  • October 24, 1999- Tuesday now leaves her collection of bedtime stuffed animals in bed during the day. Each night, she picks out one special animal for bedtime. This makes bedtime happen much quicker.
  • October 12, 1999- Tuesday and I played "flashlight" today. We sat in her room and drew lines on the ceiling with flashlights.
  • October 2, 1999- Tuesday listened to "Peter and the Wolf" and liked it a lot.
  • September 30, 1999- Tuesday put on her sweater all by herself
  • September 23, 1999- When Elizabeth dropped Tuesday off for day care, she started to cry. It was her first quiet, trembling lip type cry. After Elizabeth left, she lined all the dolls up on the window to watch for Mommy and took a nap.
  • September 20, 1999-Tuesday wanted Elizabeth to read bedtime stories to her Maisy doll.
  • September 19, 1999- Tuesday is sick, and she is taking medicine. About 15 seconds after she swallows it, she makes a face and shudders.
  • September 6, 1999- Tuesday has started feeding her pooh doll imaginary honey from a tupperware container. She did this almost all day today.
  • September 3, 1999- Tuesday is learning "I'm a little teapot"
  • August 30, 1999- Tuesday was playing with her blocks last night and started trying to read the numbers on them. She could tell a number from a letter, but couldn't get the numbers right (she reads 3 as "5" or 4 as "7")
  • August 29, 1999- whenever Tuesday kisses me she says "Daddy Fuzzy"
