This is a nice little list of the new things that Quinn is doing. Updated sporadically.

  • August 30, 2001- Said, "Bye" to Daddy as he left. And waved as he said it.
  • August 28, 2001- Said, "Pop Pop Pop" perfectly for the first time.
  • August 25, 2001- Said "Bop" for the first time.
  • August 23, 2001- Today Quinn said, "Mommie, gwe ma bottle"…get my bottle…his first sentence. He tries to say just about everything.
  • August 21, 2001- Quinn has now decided that every time you take him out of his crib, you have to take Cinnabear too…he grabs his little bear and hugs it. It's so cute.
  • July 31, 2001- Said "my ball"
  • July 30, 2001- Said the word "ball" for the first time.
  • July 1, 2001- Though Quinn can't speak yet, he can communicate. While visiting Christopher's, Quinn let us know just what he was thinking. We had started watching the movie Toy Story, but it was interrupted by dinner. After dinner we decided that Quinn didn't care about whether or not we continued Toy Story, so we put in a video Tuesday wanted to watch. Immediately, Quinn picked up the Toy Story video box and came running over to us with it, yelling and pointing back and forth between the video box and the TV. The message was quite clear.
  • June 28, 2001- Today Quinn was able to recognize and pick out all the Pooh characters. Very cute. He runs to the refrigerator and points when he wants his bottle and he desperately tries to open the refrigerator.
  • April 9, 2001- Quinn is now very interested in his different body parts. He points to his head and feet and sometimes his nose. He loves to have his socks and shoes put on in the morning. He brings his dirty diaper to the diaper genie and loves putting it in. He is very into dancing, especially to "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands."
  • March 8, 2001- Quinn can now point to things that he wants or that you ask him about. He also can nod his head "yes" when you ask him a question.
  • February 15, 2001- Quinn can now clap his hands, though he doesn't do it very often. He can point to his head when he gets the urge. When you ask for hugs and kisses, he leans his head in toward your chest and sometimes gives you a hug along with it. And just on Tuesday he learned to point to his foot, though he ends up falling over 90 percent of the time that he is pointing to it. He has said cracker several times. The other day he said nana for banana and he said cookie very clearly.
  • September, 2001- Right now Quinn is still obsessed with Clifford. He loves everything with Clifford. He also has recently rediscovered his Mr. Potato Head toy. He loves watching videos on TV. He goes running over to the cabinet where we keep the videos and he yells and points, letting us know that he would like to watch one.

  • February 16th, 2001- Quinn now does lots of tricks. He can point to his toe, hold his head, run to the fish tank and other silly things. He also will give hugs and kisses if you ask (although this just means leaning on someone).
  • December 31, 2001- Quinn said the word "cracker" twice.
  • December 4th, 2000- When I waved goodbye to Quinn this morning, he waved back.
  • December 4th, 2000- This morning, I gave Quinn a loud goodbye kiss (MMMAHH), and he made the same sound back to me.
  • December, 4th, 2000- Quinn actually has a web site.
  • December 1st, 2000- Quinn can now escape the barrier that we set up in our house to keep him penned in.
  • January 9th, 2000- Quinn is born
